‘A recent project at Lancaster University for one of our oldest clients. A full power wash/clean of the whole area, followed by two coats of a high-quality, water-based, acrylic court paint, in two shades of green.
Completed with line marking for tennis courts, netball courts and a five a side pitch. We’ve received excellent feedback from students and other users of the courts.’

The markings have been laid on a freshly tarmacked surface.
All work completed and ready for handover to the client.
We recently carried out new road markings and hot-applied anti-skid surfacing to a new cycle lane at a site in Sheffield.
The team managed to complete the work in a busy city centre traffic leaving the client very happy with the end result.
This project involved removing the old markings from the Marks & Spencer warehouse in Bradford. Once this was complete we then applied fresh new markings for their loading bays.
This work is on a School near Kidderminster, we were asked to spray a non-slip court paint over 1625m2. Plus also non-slip markings for 2 tennis courts and 2 netball courts.
The spraying process maintains the porosity of the surface enabling sports to be played during or after it has rained.
All our employees have had DBS checks so were able to work without extra supervision.
The work was carried out with no disruption to the school.
JD Sports now has a Gym franchise and one of the latest ones to open is in Rotherham. Road Marking Services were called in to fully refurbish the car park bay and road markings. The old markings were worn and hard to see and in some cases new ones needed.
As you can see once this was ll complete it looks far better and professional, and will be like this for a good few years.
The client Five Guys in Nottingham asked for a hardwearing non-slip coloured surface to 5 parking bays with a very specific Pantone colour. We were able to manufacture our RMS Rapidset, 2 pack MMA coating to the exact shade. The lines and letters were laid in white thermoplastic. This is hard wearing and inturn will last a long time. As you can see this has turned out really well and stands out nicely, which is what the client wanted.
Feedback from the client was very positive which has resulted in them enquiring about other sites from Newcastle to London.
RMS was approached by the local VOSA test centre to mark out safety zones around the inspection pit. The existing paint markings were poor and very faded.
A safety zone was specified working to the approved VOSA layout.
RMS removed the existing markings and prepared the existing concrete floor surface. We then applied the very hard wearing 2 pack ‘RMS Rapidset’. RMS Rapidset has a non-slip finish that can be easily cleaned, it is oil, fuel and chemical resistant so perfect for garage workshops.
Due to the fast setting of ‘RMS Rapidset’, the project was completed in 1 shift, only having the pit out of use for 8 hours with no disruption to the rest of the garage.
The client specified a coloured, non-slip, hardwearing product to be applied to existing concrete parking bays. We have laid ‘RMS Rapidset’ to give a bright oil resistant finish. As well as a green for electric vehicle bays there were also combination bays for disabled EV bays and parent and child EV bays. Preformed symbols were also laid to mark each type of bay plus the usual cross hatched access areas. All carried out by directly employed personnel from Road Marking Services Ltd, Sheffield.
This job involved adding Disabled, Parent and Child parking bays and coloured walkways to 15 stores at this shopping complex.
Colour coded walkways have been installed using RMS Rapidset, this was preferred by the client to marking the whole of the parking bay area.
Parking bay lines were installed using liquid applied thermoplastic.
The symbols denoting electric vehicle charging, parent and child and disabled parking were marked using pre-formed thermoplastic to give an exact replica of the architect’s requirements.
Meadowhall contacted us as they needed alterations to their roadways and car park markings. We visited them and offered solutions to their problems and showed them our portfolio of work. Meadowhall now has multi-coloured areas to the disabled bays, parent and child bays.
We have recently also added the electric vehicle charging which has been installed using RMS Rapidset, an extremely hard-wearing, non-slip, two-pack paint that has been specified by the client due to its outstanding performance over many years use at Meadowhall and other locations. Thermoplastic and 2 pack paint are used for marking other areas.
Of the back of this Road Marking Services in Sheffield have now got an ongoing contract we have at the Meadowhall Centre Sheffield.
We were contacted by Swinton Queens Primary School as they required New Thermoplastic Playground Marking. These markings were new markings as they at the time did not have any. The ideas were designed to try to improve the children’s learning whilst still having fun. RMS installed preformed thermoplastic shapes, letters and numbers.
Preformed markings were preferred due to their sharp finish in non-slip vibrant colours that do not fade and which also have excellent long-lasting quality.
These will last for a good few years and let the children have fun!
